We’re Octarinox, a product-driven team focused on building robust and scalable backend systems that power modern web and mobile applications. As our team expands, we’re looking for a Mid-Level Backend Developer who is confident in Node.js and its ecosystem, particularly Express and NestJS, and who’s ready to grow into a senior role.
Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js, Express, and NestJS
Build RESTful and GraphQL APIs that are secure, well-documented, and performant
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following modern engineering practices
Work closely with frontend developers, product owners, and designers to deliver end-to-end features
Implement database models and queries using PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
Contribute to architectural decisions, refactoring, and performance optimizations
Write unit and integration tests using tools like Jest, Supertest, or Vitest
Participate in code reviews, daily standups, and sprint planning sessions
✅ 2–4 years of experience in backend development with Node.js
✅ Proficiency in Express.js and NestJS
✅ Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, and web architecture
✅ Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
✅ Good knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript
✅ Experience with authentication, authorization, and security best practices
✅ Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, and agile development practices
✅ Ability to work independently and take initiative on tasks
